The SpectraLink 8000 SVP Server is a quality of service (QoS) mechanism that is implemented in the handsets and access points - SVP gives a controlled preference to voice packets over data packets on the Wi-Fi network, increasing the probability that all voice packets are transmitted efficiently and is an open specification that is compliant with the IEEE 802.11a/b/g standard.

SpectraLink 8000 Telephony Gateway

The SpectraLink 8000 Telephony Gateway provides the interface between the Ethernet LAN and the host telephone switch in the case of digital or analog line interfaces - each Gateway supports 16 handset users and up to 40 Gateways can be linked together for a system capacity of 640 users.

SpectraLink 8000 OAI Gateway

The SpectraLink 8000 OAI Gateway enables third-party applications to send and respond to real-time text messages and alerts using SpectraLink Wireless Telephones - applications developed using the OAI protocol interface with the wireless telephone system through the gateway allowing mobile users to rapidly respond to non-voice messages to increase productivity throughout the workplace.
